What makes me special is that I grew up in Birmingham during the Civil Rights Movement. I have been conducting teacher training and workshops for 25 years. My work has been funded by the National Endowment for the Humanities for 15 years. I worked with the National Park Service in developing the curriculum for Never Lose Sight of Freedom which tells the nation changing story of the 1965 Selma to Montgomery March for the right to vote.
